- Ending the Financial Crisis
The unraveling of global financial markets, currencies, economies, businesses, and potentially a government or two has taken center stage throughout the world. Based on a number of factors, I believe that some time remains before the immediate crisis begins to lift. Yesterday, a friend in Russia and business executive commented that he “hoped” we were halfway through. Perhaps this is optimistic, but I am certainly willing to hope along.

According to Covey, “in a high-trust relationship, you can say the wrong thing, and people will still get your meaning. In a low-trust relationship, you can be very measured, even precise, and they’ll still misinterpret you.” So, it begs the question can trust be built and if so how. Covey contends: “We can increase trust—much faster than we might think—and doing so will have a huge impact, both in the quality of our lives and in the results we’re able to achieve.”
