Executive MBA:

Frequently Asked Questions

There is something very human about visual interfaces. I almost think of text-based interfaces, including browswers, as 'narrowband' into our brains, whereas visual interfaces are broadband into our brains. Our brains are wired for sight and sound--that is what makes 'Second Life' different from chat.

How does the program work?
The GHP Executive MBA program is a combination of high-tech distance learning combined with hands-on interactive sessions. The combined approach is designed to give the greatest learning result for each participant. Some of the distinctives of the combined program include:

A high-tech delivery approach
Using virtual reality, the program allows and requires the student to be an active participant instead of a passive observer. This highly innovative approach improves the learning experience. This is the first program that incorporates virtual reality into the learning environment. The dynamic learning environment maintains a high level of interest while maximizing knowledge and skills development.

Simulated Internship
The virtual reality tool is only effective when based on quality content. For this reason, extensive study was done within a real company that has been a market leader in its field. This research was translated into what MBA-related issues an intern would face. Based on this research, a simulated internship was created that is the content for the virtual reality application.  Because the course revolves around a virtual internship based in a real-world business environment, the learning process maximizes application to the student’s real-world work environment.

Integrated system
In addition to the next generation distance-learning platform, the program has a  work group aspect as well. This team-oriented element combines the virtual reality internship with facilitated sessions where networking occurs while students participate in interactive discussions, projects, etc. Executive MBA candidates will benefit from participating in the facilitated mentorship sessions. A broad range of hands-on activities facilitate practical learning including:

  • Tailored case studies
  • Presentations
  • Problem-solving
  • Custom videos
  • Role-playing
  • Financial analysis
  • Business plan development
  • Etc.

Where is this degree recognized?
The U.S. issued diploma is globally recognized as a prestigious second or higher education. At the present time, GHP is making available to the Russian market an Executive MBA degree through Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU). A rapidly growing private university, IWU is the largest private university in the state of Indiana. In addition, it was recognized in the most recent published rankings of universities in U.S. News and World Report as one of the best in the tier of Midwest Master’s Universities (Aug 2007).

Upon successful completion, a student receives a fully accredited Executive MBA diploma. This diploma gives to the holder all the “rights, honors, privileges and responsibilities” of a fully accredited MBA diploma. Based on the full U.S. accreditation and general business practice, an accredited MBA is recognized by employers throughout the world including in the U.S., Europe, Russia and beyond.

How do I start?
Distinct from other programs, this MBA program is asynchronous. Instead of starting as a group or having to stay together or "synchronized" as a group, students are able to work at their own pace. This allows candidates to start the program when it is convenient for them. Also, students may work at faster or slower rates throughout the year depending on the busyness of their schedule.

Because the program is asynchronous, students may begin immediately. The required steps to begin include:

A GHP representative will work with you as you seek to complete the application process.
